Skim coat and repair mortar formulations need a balanced combination of adhesion,
flexibility, workability, and durability.Redispersible polymer powder (RDP) is commonly
used in dry-mix formulations to modify these properties and improve the performance of the finished mortar.

Use the same formulation, mixing procedure, curing conditions, and test method
when comparing different RDP grades.
This gives a more meaningful basis for supplier and grade selection.
There is no need to select an RDP simply because it has a broad range of claimed benefits.
The better approach is to define the required performance first and then compare
suitable grades through formulation testing.
